The cold and salty water keeps him awake. Fatigued , all he wants is really just find a port to dock at, maybe for once have that hot meal he has been imagining when he scrapes the last pieces of canned meat from the dented tin.

He longs for life to take shape in the form of a long , straight tunnel, however endless, it still goes on and on , for he drifts aimlessly , hoping for a glimpse of a horizon.

His boat isn't too shabby, when you compare it to some dinghy's which occasionally crosses path. But when the giants loom over head out of no where and disappear out of sight soon enough, maybe his sails are't so grand after all. He doesn't really mind, despite the occasional allure of a shiny new strings , or the latest model of such and so, honestly, who doesn't ?

He grabs hold of the controls, the smooth wood against his weathered hands and the vessel, Eva , obeys they hard swivel against the currents. What's the point? It's the same span of ocean that overwhelms one so small.

He puts one some melancholic acoustic rock ballads in the player, the mellow strumming, bright picked arpeggios contrast the husky deep male voice and the soaring female vocals singing for

reasons shared all the same.

Then, he wakes up abruptly . The abyss engulfs him, his head is under the water and can't breathe. He lets go of something, he doesn't care what it is , it sinks down , or was it floating up? After frantic struggle , a gush of hard air fills his lungs. After a disorientated moment or two , he keeps a steady stroke against the wave.

He then realizes another figure wadding, his hair seems dry , chiseled features and dark eyes are visible despite the turbulent water. Wow, thats cool.

Another spur of confusion hits when a vessel closes in, splashing water at his face. He glimpse a radiant and soft smile , reaches out his hand, but the other figure is pulled out , while he is once more embraced by nothing but the cold water again.

Of course, he thinks , what the fuck was I thinking . And now decides to let the wave bring him at its will or ...

Survival Camp 2009

What the hell is Survival Camp?

Well, it's a camp to test how you will adapt in a survival situation.

Sadly, the camp was not as it was purposed?

I'll skip the elaborating and write an overview ?

I now have sunburns, ache all over , thinner,

a very , very, red face with a distinct line where the forage cap covers and leaves a fair spot.

The sunburns fucking hurt and feel raw.

I'm bloody tired cause no sleep. (rain)

My feet ache from intense marching training in the boiling afternoon sun . ( where is rain when u need it)

My hands are hurting from hammering , sawing , chopping and that sort of thing for building my shelter out of bamboo.

After all this, despite everything , I'm not really complaining, it's the last camp (i think) for senior troop, and how often does someone experience something like this?( Group camp was more fun!)

My blog is a zombie , which ocassionally comes back to life.

Lester William Polsfuss, known as Les Paul (June 9, 1915 – August 13, 2009) was a musician and innovator. He was a pioneer in the development of the solid-body electric guitar which "made the sound of rock and roll possible." He is credited with many recording innovations, including overdubbing (also known as sound on sound), delay effects such as tape delay, phasing effects, and multitrack recording.

His innovative talents extended into his playing style, including licks, trills, chording sequences, fretting techniques and timing, which set him apart from his contemporaries and inspired many of the guitarists of the present day. He recorded with his wife Mary Ford in the 1950s and they sold millions of hit records.

Among his many honors, Les Paul is one of a handful of artists with a permanent, stand-alone exhibit in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He is prominently named by the music museum on their website as an "architect" and a "key inductee" along with Sam Phillips and Alan Freed.

Ok,

I'm slightly less strangled by scouting.

Then WHAM , the circular for the 3rd term exams is slammed right in my face.

Hence, this blog post,

a mixture of obligation and procrastination.

Mood : Volatile as usual, with a lil closure to the eccentric side already.

Music : Symphonic/Gothic Rock such as Evanescence, Nightwish, Within Tempation.

So , WITHIN TEMPTATION.

My latest musical obsession, besides my new love for the A minor scale for lead melodies and minor harmonic scales ( please send me some new positions for it )

Back to WT!

With clear and angelic female vocals soaring through a melodic symphonic melodies and heavy guitar riffs and occasional growl backing vocals is a really well orchestrated and arranged bands.

With obvious celtic and folk influence , this band differs yet stands within my reasons for loving the unique genre of music.

in contrast to Nightwish , the folk influence brings a really enjoyable musical feast for the ears.

In my humble opinion ( not so humble?), this is what real originality is, instead of repetitive themes and lyrics for mainstream pop culture.

Symphonic metal / rock or gothic themed music is must listen to if you consider yourself a real connoisseur .
